So I've been meaning to post about my "twitter" endeavor for a while now.
Late January, a decision by one of our sister papers to enter into this instant update forum made me jump off the fence and sign up for the service.
The jury is still out, but so far it seems useful and not nearly as dangerously obsessive as facebook or blogging in general.
It surprised me to find many of my more technically advanced college friends already twittering. It was also surprising how much of a "six degrees of separation" excersise it can become through the process of following your followers, etc.
If this isn't making sense to you, I encourage you to investigate it for yourself. It's free. It's easy to choose what updates you want (my favorites include one about food and the NYTimes breaking news...)
I'm on at grimmmme and by seeing who my "followers" are you can easily connect to some of our mutual (barring those strangers who read this post... that's another subject entirely) friends.
Good luck and happy twittering.
