Feeling froggy

I managed to take this with my cell phone after slowing to tractor speed.

So this morning, we're on our way to daycare and subsequently the office, when Susannah says, "Cup," and hands forward her juice sippy cup. Not unusual as she has this habit of not wanting to hold onto it or set it down after satisfying her thirst.
Because I'm driving, on back, country roads (probably too fast?) I don't really look back, just pass my hand between the seats and reach for the cup.
While I grab it, something wet, cold and sticky suddenly clings to my forearm.
Child-sized booger?
Leaky cup?
Inaccurate showering experience?
Nope.
Just a massive, apparently personable frog.
Actually, I would qualify it more as a toad.
The thing jumped from my forearm up to my lap, just under the steering wheel so I couldn't really react and was sort of afraid of squishing it on my pants.
Then it jumped from leg to leg until it was in the floorboard.
I lost sight of it for a while, all the time Susannah was giggling at her momma's shrieking and sporadic movements.
Just as I was making one of the last turns on the way to the sitter's, I check my speed and there it is. Sitting calmly on the steering wheel column, just giving me the stare down.
I really think upon further investigation that the thing must have been rabid. I mean, don't frogs usually prefer to go away from people?
So in the end, we arrive at daycare and I roll the passenger side window down, con the animal into an empty cup (see Galon, it is good sometimes that my car is a moving trash receptacle) and slung it onto the grass.
All's well that ends well, but the be honest, the little guy seemed kinda bummed at getting the boot.

Procrastination

So it's time. Deadline. And maybe it's the bag of M&M's I've eaten or the quietness in the office (Pandora has quit several times and although I love my Mel Torme channel, I gave up on it for tonite)- either way, I've found myself wishing I had displayed a bit more creativity and introspectiveness on this blog or the world wide innerwebs in general.
Granted, that means I am still assuming no one I care to impress reads this.
Don't correct me if I'm wrong, please.
So after checking out my buddy Rachel's endeavor of 365 photos over so many days, none of which related besides her being in them in some fashion and that they are all quite good, I was inspired.
Thus, we've begun a flickr account.
Hopefully, the photos there won't be redundant to those displayed here and will be a bit more universal in their appeal.
After all, I am a trained photographer. Hahaha. heeo.hoo. hee. whewwww.
So enjoy, and please comment either here or there if you see something that tickles your fancy (or just sparks your interest.)
And while her collection includes the pleasures of being young and fancy free (yikes- double fancy award just then) mine will more likely be a reflection of the conglomeration of work and play my life has become.
