happy weekend!

The girls and I returned home Saturday expecting to find a tired hunter and while that was true, it was for a variety of reasons.
Look what he did!

New cabinets installed above the washer and dryer (the room was redone about four years ago) and a whole bunch of shelves as well. The plan is to put a tension rod and some neutral curtain fabric over the metal shelf area so it can be as messy as need be.
We've got so much room to stash stuff that had previously been occupying the tops of closets, bottoms of closets and other corners that were hard to reach.
Oh, and although we are planning to get a real tree sometime soon to decorate, we went ahead and put some Christmas out.

Also, a local radio station is already playing holiday tunes- let's hope they aren't the same 12 songs over and over.
And we won't even mention (the unmentionable) the disaster of a game for the Iron Bowl but let me say our money is on Virginia Tech if it comes down to that.

Anytime our all-Christmas-all-the-time radio station wants to play All I want for Christmas by Mariah Carey is fine with me. Others I don't get tired of (but probably won't be played on air in Portland) -Come on Ring Those Bells as sung by Kristen Chenoweth and Christmas to Remember by Kenny and Dolly.
