christmastown

This week we took the girls to Busch Gardens' Christmastown for the first time and had a blast. We picked up Grammy on the way after settling into Susannah's new booster seat in the car and managed to get to the park right before it opened (along with about 300 other folks.)
I'd highly recommend it for anyone within a reasonable distance- such a beautiful and fun way to really get in the Christmas mood. And while it seems pricey, you're getting a lot for the money (kiddie rides, live entertainment with or without wait times, various unique and healthyish food venues and lots and lots of decorations.)
Susannah's favorites included watching the ballerinas and seeing "the real Santa" wave to her. And she was happy to get to ride on the only pink horse on the carousel (she raced a 12 year old girl to get to it first!)
My favorites were walking through quaint "new France" and seeing the sweet Clydesdales. And the moments "real snow" was wafting through the night air, surrounded by TONS of Christmas lights. Oh, and the Starbucks and roasted nuts were great too:)
And Jolie's favorite might have been the train ride. Or the penguins. Or the mashed potatoes she ate up while watching yet another live show.
